Medical Consultation

• What is the medical consultation?

Before laser procedures, you will speak with a technician about your past and current medical history. This will include obvious questions such as medications and blood or skin disorders, as well as some important but less obvious concerns such as daily habits, make-up brand, and vitamin supplements.

 
• After the first visit, will we discuss my health again?

Your response to treatments will be monitored during the laser therapy and changed or stopped if you experience atypical or undesirable changes as we proceed. It is very important that all medical information be given to our staff before beginning treatment and changes in your medical history updated during each visit to assure your safety and the best results after therapy.

 
• Will I speak to any other physicians?

Before or during treatment with the laser, we may request a consult with your primary physician or a dermatologist to ensure safety and the best aesthetic results possible. Additional consult is not commonly needed since we do not need to use sedation or strong pain relievers when using the GentleMax system of lasers.
