Permanent Makeup
• Permanent
Makeup which is known as micropigmentation is the art
of the implantation of color into the dermis layer of the
skin with the use of specialized instruments. Color is applied
by a micropigmentation professional to the areas of the eyebrows,
eyelids and lips, bringing out the beauty in you. If
you desire faultless eyeliner, perfectly shaped eyebrows
and beautifully outlined lips, then permanent makeup
is for you.

FAQ'S
ABOUT PERMANENT MAKEUP:
• Does it hurt?
Topical anesthetics developed for permanent makeup is applied to the desired
area before and during the procedure to assure you the upmost comfort. Some
people describe a tingling sensation or light pressure. As the anesthetic wears
off, cool packs can be used to soothe the area.
• Is
there any risk of contamination or infection?
No, as long as:
Disposable sterile needles are used (one time use only), the facility is clean,
the technician is wearing gloves, the skin is disinfected before the procedure,
and you follow the post procedure instructions.
• What pigments are used?
Synthetic, pure oxides are the safest and include iron and titanium. Please note,
there is no so-called “vegetable based” pigments or dyes that are
used in permanent makeup. As a rule, only pigments or color particles are
used in permanent makeup, not inks or dyes.
• How long will permanent makeup
last?
Permanent makeup does fade as it is exposed daily to sun. Ideally the color
should be touched-up every two or three years depending on how well the pigment
holds. With some people, the permanent makeup fades after a year while
with others there is no change after eight years.
• How long will it take to recover?
Following an eyeliner procedure, you will look like you have had a good cry.
Ice applied for 10 minutes at a time the first few hours is very soothing. Eyebrows
have the least swelling while lip procedures often involve temporary swelling. You
must let your technician know if you have a history of fever blisters so that
your doctor can prescribe medication before a lip procedure.
